  •  एक अनुमान के मुताबिक, हम एक दिन में औसतन 85 बार अपना फोन चेक करते हैं। इसका मतलब हर 15 मिनट में एक बार। यानी हर 15 मिनट में हमारा दिमाग काम से हटकर फोन में लग जाता है। ध्यान तो आसानी से भटक जाता है, लेकिन उसे वापस पाना काफी मुश्किल होता है। फोन में बार-बार बजने वाली घंटी दो तरह से हमारा ध्यान भटकाती है। पहले को एक्सोजेनस इंटरप्शन कहते हैं और दूसरे को एंडोजेनस इंटरप्शन। एक्सोजेनस इंटरप्शन तब होता है जब फोन पर कोई नोटिफिकेशन आता है। इससे हम एक्साइटेड हो जाते हैं। यह उत्सुकता और खुशी वैसी ही होती है जैसी लोगों को जुआ खेलते समय होती है।
