Indian Werid Temple तिरुवप्पन वेल्लट्टम परंपरा के वक्त कोई भी इस मंदिर में अपने पालतू कुत्ते को ला सकता है और यहां पर उनका आशीर्वाद ग्रहण कर सकता है. स्थानीय लोग बताते हैं कि यहां पर वीकेंड यानी शनिवार और रविवार को काफी भीड़ देखने को मिलती है. यहां के पुजारी मुथप्पन थेय्यम कहलाते हैं और नामकरण के दौरान वह कुत्ते के कान में कुछ फुसफुसाते हैं और फिर आखिर में उसे प्रसाद खिलाते हैं. ऐसा करने के बाद तेय्यम पालतू जानवर को उनके मालिक को सौंप देते हैं.
